Hi, Sorry to be so long in replying - had to go on to other projects and leave this one! We are running Easy Publisher 1.7 on top of Zope 2.5.1 on Apache (sun0s5). The browsers that cause the problems are IE 6 (SP1). I thought this problem could be solved with External Editor 0.6 but this does not seem solve the problem. Using Netscape Navigator works fine (however we need IE6 in order to use the wysiwyg editor in Easy Publisher). I can get it to work on my box (Windows98), but attempts on Windows 2000 Professional or NT fail. I think maybe the change I spoke about below came from the upgrade from IE5 to IE6, but since we at that time were also patching Easy Publisher it is difficult to say exactly what had changed. Thanks in advance for your help Marie Robichon At 09:30 27/09/02 -0400, you wrote:
Does it work in another browser? Did anything change on the system from the time it stopped working until now? Are you running Zope behind SSL?

Hi,
I have a problem with External Editor: I installed the windows binary helper application on my colleagues machines (using IE6) yesterday and it worked ok. However, today it is impossible to use it because it gives us the following error: Fatal error (errno2): No such file or directory: C:\\Documents & Settings\\dely\\Local Settings\\Temporary Internet Files\\Content.IE5\\2HZUWBG7\\content[1].zope
I deleted the temporary internet files from IE and set the settings of 'check for newer versions to stored pages' to never and I still get the message :-(
Hmmm, clearing the cache usually fixes this. I think the 'check for newer versions' setting is backwards though, you always want to check.
The fact that it worked yesterday is puzzling though. Can you try it logged in as another user?
Hi, I tried logging in as me (manager privileges) and it still gives the same message, I cleared the cache again, I checked the file type configuration, and still get the same message.
