[Zope] Is Parsed XML thread safe?

I am seeing some buggy behavior in an application where users can edit XML documents through a variation on the ZMI interface, behavior that could be explained by thread interaction. In particular, I have seen instances where saving a edited XML document ends up overwriting another XML document. Has anyone else observed similar behavior?
