Hi I am John Kunchandy working in Stylus Systems in Bangalore,India. I have been using Zope for the past 3 months and have developed a small Project Management Application using ZPT's ,Python Scripts, and the Back end i have used is PostgresSQL.I came to know about the Nuxeo CPS from a friend I have dowloaded the tar and unzipped it on to a Mandrake Linux 8.2 OS machine. The install file for the CPS says : Verify that you get all required Products: - CMF 1.3 (CMFCore, CMFDefault, DCWorkflow) - Localizer 0.8.1 - NuxCPS - Install all those products in Products folder at the root of Zope instance But it does not give directions how to go about installing.Does unzipping (tar -xf CPS_2.1.tar) mean that it is installed? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Add a CPS Site (suppose the CPS site id is 'cps') - Launch the CPS site (URL: <http://localhost:8080/cps>) - Go to "Directories" -> "Users" - Create a new entry for a CPS manager (suppose its id is 'root'). - From now on, never use Zope admin with CPS site, use only CPS users. Use the Zope admin user only for upgrades and updates. Here after logging into the Zope interface (http://localhost:8080/manage) as admin I have added a Folder called cps at root I added a user called cps also at root .After i tried to login with the cps login Zope is not allowing me to login into the interface.when I logged back as Admin to the interface I find that the password is changed and irrespective of whatever password i change it to it changes back to the same password which I cannot see.Is this some fixed password for the new user? Hence the part about creating CPS users is also not happening. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Indexing office documents - NuxDocument uses helpers to convert office (MS-Office, OpenOffice, StarOffice...) documents to text and HTML. If specific plugins (external applications) are not installed, CPS will not index office documents. http://www.zope.org/Members/sf/NuxDocument/ a.. MSOffice (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) Needs: wvWare (http://www.wvware.com), xlhtml (http://www.xlhtml.org/) and ppthtml (http://www.xlhtml.org/ too). b.. OpenOffice.org (word processor / presentation / spreadsheet) Needs: xsltproc from libxml2 (http://xmlsoft.org/XSLT/) and unzip. c.. RTF Needs: GNU unRTF (http://www.gnu.org/directory/GNUunRTF.html). d.. PDF Needs: xpdf (http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/). e.. HTML f.. Dumb Do I have to download all these plugins to ensureNux Document works.I am more interested in Nux CPS Since I would like to test it and write a White Paper on it and may be give a presentation on Nux CPS at the next Zope users meeting here to make all members more aware of its functionalities.Do I have to install nux Document as a pre-requisite for Nux CPS to work. So far what I have been trying to do is based n my limited knowledge .Please correct me where I have gone wrong . Please mail me what exactly is the step by step by procedure to go about installing CPS and start using it. So that I may be able to use and give a documentation on it which may be useful to all users. I would like to mention my specifications.Mandrake Linux 8.2,Python 2.2.2 , PostgresSql Could someone please reply back and help me out. I want to thank everyone who took the time to read this mail and also everyone who can help me .
