Could somebody show me some more aspect for Zope to argumentate?
And how to sell open-source solutions? Chief says me that I does not make profit with open-source solutions. I am not businessmann, I am technician and chief and our businessmans is microsoft-ass and is not able to sell solutions in open-source. He sells software, hardware and mainly _service_time_. With Zope I have very small amount of service time to our customers, SW is free, so customers pay very very little and chief is like orangutan.
How to sell open source solutions, ah theres a good challenge. If your boss is thinking in the mind set of a person who only marks up what is available, then he is in the wrong game for Zope. If people are able to get something for free, or pay for your version then they have to give them more. Value add, why do people pay for Redhat when they could download it for free? If it only takes 20 hours to maintain Zope you have 130 hours to add in such fantastic features to your service that will people will be flocking to your door. Sigh its always depressing to hear people wanting to sell a worse system because they can make more money off of it. Zope 3 is doomed :) -- Andy McKay
