Have you tried using the INSTANCE_HOME/stop script. What it kind of does in essence is the following. You could manually do it too: kill the process: in redhat like systems: killproc python on others just to a ps -ax | grep python and then kill -9 the first process (lowest pid ) on windows.. pull up the task manager and kill it from there. delete the zope.pid file either in INSTANCE_HOME or var also remove the .lock file in var hth AM Colin Mackenzie wrote:
Hello, I hope you can help me with a small problem i'm having. I managed to stuff up the super user account in Zope and now i cannot access the root folder of my zope installation. I've created an emergency user but i'm having problems shutting down zope so that I can re-start it and use the emergency user to undo previous changes. As i have no root folder i can't access the control panel and i've been having problems using the De bug and Ctrl-C to shut down.
Could you please give me a point in the right direction as to how i can overcome my situation
Kind regards
