My fault! I think I left it out for two reasons ... 1/ Although I guess it shows the principle of how the lever works, it was a little bit ugly and maybe not the best thing to shove out there as an example. To tidy it up, I'd have liked to be able to add a messagedialogue which returns the user back to manage_main when the OK button is pressed... anyone know how it's done? 2/ I didn't want a beginners example to have to involve going to two directories, doing a manage_importHack while ensuring that the correct export.bbe was in place each time, as well as installing an external method in the right location (by the time someone's done that lot, they probably don't need DTML examples any more ;) ). Of course, I should have taken out all references to the Lever in the docs, I'll change the example accordingly... thx for pointing it out! But in the meantime, here's a tarball containing the var/export.bbe created when I ran a manage_exportHack against the hitCounter product. If you do http://mysite:myPort/Control_Panel/Products/mangage_importHack after installing the export.bbe file in your var directory you'll then have the hitCounter installed, and there in the 'Add' menu for each of your folders. Cheers, Andy.

I've been looking thru the dtml example folder that was uploaded to zope.org, for usefull tips & tricks, and it's quite nice. There is one puzzle however that I would like to solve.
In the hitcounter example it refers to making the counter a Product to simplify adding it. It says to look at the counter product in the Products directory in the Control Panel for details on how this was done. That product of course isn't there. (minor documentation bug there)
I'm going to guess that this is an example of one of those so-called 'Levered' objects I've heard abt, which sound insanely usefull, but which I've been able to find absolutely nil documentation on.
Anyone have any docs on these? Or at least an exported version of that hitcounter product, so I can see what one looks like?
