R: [Zope] WebDav and Office 2000
Hi Bruce, Are you using Zope >= 2.5.0? If I have understand the problem, Microsoft WebDav isn't standard, and the solution to this non standard implementation is in Zope 2.5.0. ciao Michele

I'm having trouble getting Office applications to work with the webDAV interface to Zope. I have Zope (running on Debian Woody) serving rendered pages on 9673 and source on 9674. I can save Word documents to folders on Zope (usually) but if I try to open them again I get a read-only document containing the single line "downloading from http://zope.etc.etc". This happens regardless of whether I point the web folder at port 9673 or 9674.
Any clue to what I am doing wrong? I don't have any problems accessing source and rendered documents using cadaver, so is this a simple Word/Office/Win2k incompatibility?

I am using Zope 2.5.0 on Linux and have trouble with MS Office 2k/XP documents. The fact is, I can open/save MS Word documents only once, the second attempt to save results in a read only message. I have a MS Excel document which I only can open not save. This always seems to be read only. I have upgraded from Zope 2.4.3 where we did'nt have such problems. Are there significant changes in the webdav implementation of Zope 2.5.x? Juergen
