Does there currently exist a searchable interface for the ZDP and the zope.org/Documentation/ web files? Alex Rice | alrice@swcp.com | http://www.swcp.com/~alrice Current Location: N. Rio Grande Bioregion, Southwestern USA

[following up my own post] If there is, it's not easy to find :-) I went ahead and setup an HTDig search interface the Zope Docs. Try it out! http://www.swcp.com/~alrice/zope/ I will add ZDP.zope.org into this search too if someone tells me what URL substrings to exclude so it doesn't recursively hit the ZBook tree structure. Great Alex! Just what ZOPE needs! I checked further and found that it's a GNU General Public license from the Free Software Foundation. Of course maybe Zopesters will tell of another "better" way using ZOPE and the soon to be Catalog??? Check out http://www.htdig.org/ for further info and download. -Bob OConnor bob@rocnet.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Alex Rice <alrice@swcp.com> To: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 1999 5:30 PM Subject: Re: [Zope] searchable documentation?

Works pretty well for stuff like this. Robert> Of course maybe Zopesters will tell of another "better" way Robert> using ZOPE and the soon to be Catalog??? Yeah I'm hoping the next incarnation of the Zope site will have a search interface directly into the docs. I know it's possible because I've seen some stuff in the list archive about searching and there is a search on Collector too. :-) The search URL again: http://www.swcp.com/~alrice/zope/ I have re-indexed it, ignoring the dtml source and pretty printing URLs. That should eliminate a lot of noise from the hits. Alex Rice | alrice@swcp.com | http://www.swcp.com/~alrice Current Location: N. Rio Grande Bioregion, Southwestern USA
