Re: [Zope] Re: LocalFS - does it live? Version on Product list needs regexto re update
jfarr has started sf.net/projects/localfs unforunately, he has not import the codes to the cvs tree. once he did it, we can all contribute. maybe we can bug him, or someone get permissions importing to the sf cvs -----Original Message----- From: Tille, Andreas <TilleA@rki.de> To: Andreas Heckel <andreas@easyleading.org> Cc: Gary Speer <gspeer@linkline.com>; Zope user list <zope@zope.org> Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2002 3:40 PM Subject: [Zope] Re: LocalFS - does it live? Is there a later incarnation of the LocalFS product. It seems several other products are dependent upon it being installed. Only version I found is 0.40 and it has not been updated in a year. Is there a similar product?
There is a patched version that uses re instead of regex. You can download it at:
http://www.easyleading.org/easyhome/index_html?content=downloadsLocalFS While I want to say many thanks to Andreas for his work I just want to repeat my opinion that it is a shame that there are so many unmaintained products around. Also see my mail under topic: Common issue: Maintainance of Zope products It's sad that my intent to start a discussion about a possible way out was more or less ignored.
Kind regards
Andreas.

maybe we can bug him, or someone get permissions importing to the sf cvs Great news for this special case. On the other hand I would like to see a more general solution for all Zope products. Sometimes I had a focus on TinyTable[Plus] and there are a lot of other fine products which just are unmaintained. It would be a shame if all the fine work the authors did in the past would be lost for the future.
Kind regards Andreas.
