There's no real difference. Zap is apache. Even if you compile and use your own Apache, however, it is still quite useful to use Zap's .conf file as a template for you own.

Isn't Zap's Apache an older version than the current v1.3.6 ?

It is 1.3.4. An update will probably be concurrent with 2.0.0 final. -Michel
