You might want to grab the latest version from CVS on sourceforge. I just checked in some more fixes for 2.6 (minor ones, to be sure). I removed a debugging print and worked around the new 2.6 html quoting rules so sync messages look ok again. I also added the gif icon that was missing. http://sourceforge.net/projects/zsyncer/ Be sure to get the CVS version, not the 0.3.1 package on the sf homepage.
