Hi, I'm looking for people with experience with zope and ECommerce, has anybody yet tried developing a Webshop System with Zope? I guess, I'll try to improve the EMarket tool, is anybody using it yet and has interess in further development ? Greetings Joerg Herbst

There has been some talk about several people working together on some kind of Open Source ecommerce system. Some vital components for an enhanced Emarket have been released recently, including the backend component for transaction processing via Cybercash and a session layer that doesn't use cookies for doing things like a shopping cart. If there are other people interested perhaps we should start trying to put something together in terms of some blue sky thinking and a basic set of features we'd want. ------ Jordan B. Any one interested in setting up a ZCommerce mailing list? CodeIt will host it if there's enough interest. --------------------------------------------------- - Scott Robertson Phone: 714.972.2299 - - CodeIt Computing Fax: 714.972.2399 - - http://codeit.com - ---------------------------------------------------
Hey, I would be very interested in a mailing list and a project for E-Commerce in Zope. I also like the name ZCommerce. I think we could do great things with E-Market and the Cybercash interface. I believe we could develop a strong product that could be seemlessly integrated with ZClasses and all the other nice Zope features. PS: Please try not to send special characters. :) Thanks. regards, stephan -- Stephan Richter iXL - Software Designer and Engineer
This is a very important issue and a huge one at that. A list devoted to it would be great! - Tad ----- Original Message ----- From: Stephan Richter <SRichter@ixl.com> To: Scott Robertson <sroberts@codeit.com>; Jordan B. cool.. I'm interested. What do you guys use, mailman? If not, we can offer a mailman based mailing list ;) (Or you could probably even talk DC into hosting it on zope.org ;) ) No, I'm not Python-crazy ;)
