RE: [Zope] how to set permissions on zope objects?
well, it shows up in the add objects list but it actually resides in the products area. for it's security page there is a permissions mapping scheme which i don't understand. which is it - a product or an object or both? i am finding this distinction to be a bit ambiguous. maybe it's cause i just quit smoking ;-). -----Original Message----- From: self [mailto:self]On Behalf Of mindlace Sent: Wednesday, April 26, 2000 4:33 PM To: michael angelo ruberto Subject: Re: [Zope] how to set permissions on zope objects? michael angelo ruberto wrote:

Is this a product or a regular zope object? if it's a product, then the permissions have to be relative to whatever it is that the object does.

right now only the superuser (me) can use them.
You're probably not setting a proxy role on the object. it's under the proxy tab, give "manage" role to the object. That should do the trick.
