ExternalEditor - which editor do you use?
Hello, just installed the ExternalEditor product. It works fine, but doesn't like my editor (which happens to be CREdit). Anyone who got it running with CREdit or could you recommend another editor (hopefully freeware). My Zope runs on a Linux box, but my client is a Windows machine. If you hate vi, try adding Cream to Vim - it's an extensive set of configuration scripts for Vim that's easy to install and makes vi a little easier to comprehend out of the box: http://cream.sourceforge.net/ After getting used to this I eventually ended up switching back to regular Vim, but it does help to get you started. I use VIM all the time, but with ExternalEditor, I use SciTE from www.scintilla.org. It is a very good customizable and easy editor with a very rich feature set - all under 200K (in Windoze). Works in Windows and under GTK. Moreover, it is python friendly.
