ExternalEditor has a mind of its own
I have just installed ExternalEditor on my Win XP Pro system, and it seems to be ignoring the settings in my ZopeEdit.ini file. Instead, it insists on opening Python Scripts in IDLE (not the registered application for .py files on my system) and Page Templates in Microsoft Word (again, not the registered application for .html files on my system), and setting WebDAV locks even though I explicitly disabled this behavior. Does anyone know what is going on? ID:[{20040924151544.8286.9730247602-12.6.18.86}]

Look for another ZopeEdit.ini file on your system. See if that one has the settings you are seeing. - Jim Washington

Yes, it's probably in the root of your hard drive - c:\zopeedit.ini. -- David Chandek-Stark Web Applications Developer Duke University - Perkins Library (919) 660-5859 dc@duke.edu
I searched my entire C drive for additional ZopeEdit.ini files. Other than some hidden files in my browser cache (which I deleted, to no effect), there were none. David Chandek-Stark <dc@duke.edu> wrote on 09/24/2004 04:03:03 PM:
