How do Zope folks negotiate the tension between supporting 4.x browsers and developing standards compliant websites? I'd be interested to hear any techniques, strategies, policies you've found helpful--also, if you have a perspective from which my question seems to embrace a false dichotomy, please share that too! Thanks, // mark -

Nielsen rules. Not his design (he is not a designer) but his strategies. Very simple: support browsers up to 2 years. FWIW, IMO http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html (scrool down to the browser stats) seems like a good candidate to measure overall browser statistics for the internet as a whole. cheers, oliver

Nor his navigation, or well, anything on his site, really. :-) He sais a lot of smart things, but if he is a guru on web usability, how come his web is confusing and pretty much unusable? :-) Best Regards Lennart Regebro, Torped http://www.easypublisher.com/

1. I don't care about "standards". I care about what works. 2. If I can't make something work in all browsers, I either make the templates I use browser-aware, or select templates during runtime depending on browser. Best Regards Lennart Regebro, Torped http://www.easypublisher.com/
