Re: [Zope] a new zope dying
As a matter of fact, it is 2.2.19. Are you running on a PPC as well? On Sunday, July 15, 2001, at 10:27 PM, alan truesdale wrote:

My new Zope server at www.feinsteinhs.com seems to stop working a few times a day for no apparent reason. I compiled 2.3.3 and Python 1.52 on my DebianPPC system. I do get that "Problem(100) Unhandled Event" error, I think when it first serves a page--can't find an explanation of
Out of curiosity Tom what kernel? Just upgraded the kernel on our zope-server from 2.2.16 to 2.2.19 and suddenly the zserver stops responding almost daily and has to be restarted? Unfortunately I upgraded quite a few things on the machine so I'm not absolutely sure what the problem is.

No intel mandrake 7.1 actually was running 2.2.0 for about a year upgraded to 2.33 about a month ago but zserver only started misbehaving after an upgrade from 2.2.16 to kernel 2.2.19. This may be just a coincedance. Will let you know if I discover any thing. I am having the same problem on a new install of Zope on a Debian potato box running kernel 2.2.6. I don't know any python yet, but I could write a little bash script to restart it. Does anyone have a script for start/restarting it? Thanks, Chuck

It doesn't seem that my problem was kernel-related. A local unix guru cleaned up my permissions and killed a zombie python or two and everything has been fine since. --Tom
