Ahh, a question that even _I_ can answer. BoboPOS does *not* do object deactivation. Zope: http://www.zope.org/ does object caching and object deactivation. Zope was the combination of Bobo, Principia (our old commercial product), and our relational database intergration software. The Zope object database is perfectly usable outside of the rest of Zope.
