I can confirm that Jeremy's recent backport of the new ZODB fspack.py (revision 1.5.4.1) seems to fix the problem I reported just as he suggests it should (http://mail.zope.org/pipermail/zodb-dev/2003-May/004945.html). This is tested with a checkout of Zope-2_6-branch as of 2003/05/14 08:20 GMT, with ZEO (HEAD) and Python 2.1.3, all on Solaris 9.
