Dear gentlemen, I have just started with zope! I am impressed with zope capabilities! Since, i have a doubt: When i go to http://<fqdn>/manage i get a upper layer on my browser that shows Zope Logo. May i switch it to my company logo ? On the left layer i get a link to "Digital Creations Refresh", may i change it too? Would this be ilegall (About copyrigths concerns?) Thanks a lot for your time and cooperation. best regards. -- Good advice is something a man gives when he is too old to set a bad example. -- La Rouchefoucauld

Dear gentlemen,
You're underestimating the genetic diversity in the Zope population! (i guess)

"Digital Creations requests that attribution be given to Zope in any manner possible. Zope includes a 'Powered by Zope' button that is installed by default. While it is not a license violation to remove this button, it is requested that the attribution remain." http://www.zope.org/Resources/ZPL Regards, René Pijlman
In our experience (in the majority of the sites we deploy), most users rarely see the Zope management interface (ZMI), but interact through customized forms that fit their needs more closely. Those forms can look anyway you like, and may never mention Zope or DC, if you don't want. However, if a customer is using the ZMI daily, I think it is only fair and honest to let them know that the platform they are using is in fact Zope. After all, if an advanced user wants to really leverage the Zope interface, he should read the Zope Book or perhaps take a Zope course, so it certainly helps to let him know that he is using Zope. However, you may change that if you wish, according to the license. But I really can't see how that will help you in the long run, and it certainly will not help your customers... From the zope public license:
# 3. Digital Creations requests that attribution be given to Zope # in any manner possible. Zope includes a "Powered by Zope" # button that is installed by default. While it is not a license # violation to remove this button, it is requested that the # attribution remain. A significant investment has been put # into Zope, and this effort will continue if the Zope community # continues to grow. This is one way to assure that growth.
best regards.
