I'm slowly learning Zope and have read through the Zope Book 2.6 that's available from zope.org. I am also interested in purchasing an additional book to better understand using Zope. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've been using Zope for a couple months now (primarily for Plone). I'm fairly low on the learning curve and would like to find a good overall book on the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance, Shane Graber

I strongly recommend Andy McKay's ``The Definitive Guide to Plone''. Don't waste your money on ``The Book of Zope'' from the Linux Journal Press. I doesn't discuss page templates at all, only dtml. Thanks for the recommendation on Andy's book. I already have it and have read it cover to cover. :) I'm more interested in a book about Zope and how to use/administer it. I've looked through the books on Amazon and a number seem fairly out-of-date. Any recommendations on a Zope specific book? I think all the print books are too old for what you want. Try the 2.7 online edition of the Zope Book, still in progress, on plope.com currently. -PW On Sun, Oct 31, 2004 at 11:25:26PM -0500, Shane Graber wrote:

I read the "Zope Bible" by Bernstein & Robertson. Although there is a lot of DTML in this book, I think it's very useful, there are topics covered like how to build a Zope product which are not covered in the Zope Book.
