Hi, Apologies to anyone who may be receiving this a second time ;( I am trying to use a web front end to view already existing newsgroups on an nntp server. I was wondering if there are any zope products out there that will do this for me. I do not need it to act as a mail server or anything like this. I had a quick look at zopeGUM but this seems to be saying that it *will* provide something that may do this for me. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. PS - is this the correct/best place to ask this question? Thanks, Joe.
Hi Joe, I don't think anyone has yet written a product to do this... Sorry, - C Joe Gaffey wrote:

Actually.... I/we have written a product called ZURP (the Zope Usenet Reading Product) that does just that. Due to lack of time it's still only half finished (missing threading and still some bugs). If there's *really* a demand for it, I guess I could get back into Python and whip it up into release 0.1 status... C U! -- Mario Valente
Hey Mario, I have started looking at some products outside of Zope that will run through CGI on apache, but would prefer to keep everything in Zope. If you did produce a product release, I would be very interested in looking at it (time constraints may decide whether I could use it). I think that it is a product that would be used quite a bit, especially by people doing private intranets (as I am doing). Many thanks, Joe. -----Original Message----- From: zope-admin@zope.org [mailto:zope-admin@zope.org]On Behalf Of Mario Valente Sent: Wednesday, July 04, 2001 7:17 PM To: zope@zope.org Subject: Re: [Zope] viewing newsgroups
