Hello there: Sorry for such a dumb question, but I just installed Linux Mandrake, with Zope. First of all, I could not find what the default username, password is for Zope initially. I did a google search and found how to change or add passwords with zpasswd. I did that: zpasswd --username=superuser --password=secret access But I still cannot login. Says I am not authorized. I am calling localhost:8080 and the password dialog box comes up. I am assuming I have the right URL. What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Guess, you didn't restart Zope after changing the pwd. ta -------------------------------------------------------------------------- smartferret it-consulting Dipl.-Ing. Linzbichler KEG Dipl.-Ing. After this you need to restart Zope. Oleg. ---- Oleg Broytmann http://www.zope.org/Members/phd/ phd@phd.pp.ru Programmers don't die, they just GOSUB without RETURN.
If you're using Zope 2.3, the 'superuser' name is now "admin". After changing the password, restart Zope. Craig On Mon, 12 Mar 2001, Gary Nielson wrote:

Restarting zope did the trip. Is there a 2.3 rpm for mandrake out yet? On Mon, 12 Mar 2001, Craig Dunigan wrote:

Try http://starship.python.net/crew/jrush/Zope/ or just do a search on zope.org for rpm, which is how I found the link above. Can't verify that they work on Mandrake, or that they work at all. Just pointing you to what I found. Craig On Mon, 12 Mar 2001, Gary Nielson wrote:
