I am still having a little trouble - I am newbie, so please excuse my dumb questions :)

When I do the make, I get make: *** No rule to make target `DynPersist.c', needed by `DynPersist.o'. Stop

I am not sure, but am I supposed to copy the Makefile.pre.in from ZPatterns to python library two levels above - and then run the make -f Makefile.pre.in boot from ZPatterns?
