Thanks. The SA I work with hammered it into place. What advantages does "Psycopg" have over "ZPoPyDA"?
Hmmm...well, the Psycopg is more actively developed recently (as far as I'm aware), and I have had trouble with getting ZPoPyDA to work with my Zope install. In fact, it still sits broken in my products listing even now. I'm not sure if it survived an upgrade from one version of Zope to the next. OTOH, I've had no trouble with Psycopg at all. I'm not sure about the name itself being better, though ;-) I hope others will comment on this, as I'm not the expert! :-) Russell

Wouldn't it be the same as installing any other product/adapter? Isn't Zope fairly platform agnostic? It's written with Python...as far as direction, you could search the Zope.org website. I recommend Psycopg as the db-adapter of choice.

Does anyone have experience installing "Zope Database Adapter for Postgresql" on Solaris? Can anyone direct me to some accurate instructions on the web? Thanks Eric Dunn

Yeah, I concur. Zope 2.5.1 (binary release) with Posgres 7 (from source), ZPoPyDA refused to work on RedHat 6.2. -jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell Hires" <rhires@earthlink.net> To: <eric.n.dunn@bankofamerica.com> Cc: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Tuesday, September 10, 2002 9:54 AM Subject: Re: [Zope] Zope Database Adapter for Postgresql
