RE: [Zope] Mozilla 0.9.4 (Was: Problems with Mozilla-0.9.3)
One of my colleagues has this problem under IE 5.0 for some reason... I wonder if this is similar. On another weird browser/ZMI note, can anyone explain this: I have a virtual host setup using a VHM accessed through a proxy, and use IE 5.5; when I access the ZMI, and right click on a tree link in the left frame to open the link in a new window, all subsequent clicks in that pane open manage_main in a new window as a target? I've only seen this on this setup, and not natively accessing the same Zope server(s) without the virtual host setup. Weird, isn't it? I have the same effect with Mozilla and Zope on my box at home when I access the instance from inside my private network. When I access the site from outside the network the misbehaviour disappears. Maybe a closer HTTP analysis will help. Mozilla 0.9.4 is still not usable for ZMI. It works fine for a few pages, but after a random number of ZMI operations Mozilla starts to show rendered page instead of Edit view...
We don't see this at ekit, and there's several people who use mozilla on linux _all_ the time. Hell, I track the trunk CVS, and I rarely have a problem - I haven't seen a basic auth regression for months :)
I hate to contradict you, but I experience it regularly. For any empty folder, when I click it in the left pane (tree view), the right pane does not display the (empty) folder contents, but rather displays the nearest index_html.
Hovering over the left pane I can see that folder hyperlink goes to http://folder_name/manage_workspace, but when I actually right-click the folder in the left pane to open in new window, I get redirected to http://folder_name/index_html.
It happens for vast majority of existing empty folders.
It does not seem to happen for folders newly created using mozilla (sic!)
It can always be rectified manually by typing the URL http://folder_name/manage_main, but that gets tiresome pretty soon.
Very strange.

<snip> I can confirm that today I had this happen under BOTH Mozilla 0.9.4 and IE 6.0. I think its something to do with your login to the ZMI being timed out, but your still browsing it, and rather than show the manage_main page, it shows the view page. - Tane Piper - ZZICT - http://www.zzict.com

IE5.0 definitely has problems interacting correctly with the ZMI. Everyone should be upgrading to the latest version of IE5.5, which doesn't seem to have the problem. Cheers, Tom P

I have the same proble under IE. And sometimes only some of the tabs shows up in the Zope Management Interface. So I belive that it is a authentication problem from my IE. The strange thing is that it has suddenly gone sour. regards Max M Max M. W. Rasmussen, Denmark.
