Ann: Squishdot 0.3.4 Released
Squishdot 0.3.4 is now available from http://www.zope.org/Members/chrisw/Squishdot/ It fixes the following problems: - Moderators no longer need the 'manager' role to approve articles. - The Suggested Author, Email Address, etc, no longer vanish when SiteAccess is used for virtual hosting. There are some other small changes and improvements. Lookout for Squishdot 0.4.0 in the (not too distant ;-) future which will hopefully use the new Zope indexing system. If you run into problems, remember Squishdot has a mailing list at eGroups and a bug collector on SourceForge.
Excellent Chris, thank you. Any suggestions for migrating a site that is already in progress? -- IV Chris Withers wrote:

I think this is neato. Is it going to get into the squishdot site? Also, I'm running into problems with internationalization and siteaccess. I would really like to have people to be able to set a property on the squishdot where they specify localtime (+ or - GMT) and then have all dates displayed at least with the correct time (even if not in the correct language) If someone could give me a pointer as to what I need to change, I would appreciate it. I guess Butch will do it when he gets a chance.

The internationalisation thing sounds like something that should wait for SquishdotPTK, which is currently being thought about... so make a note of it ;-) What's the problem with SiteAccess? cheers, Chris

Oh, sorry, just that everyone gets the same time. I guess that'd be true for whatever zope I was running. And does 0.3.4 break any 0.3.2 pages if I install it? 0.3.2 was installed on zope 2.1.6. Thanks, ethan fremen mindlace@imeme.net

0.3.4 shouldn't, there were onyl minor code changes... 0.4.0 will be a one-way upgrade I suspect :( cheers, Chris
I am really interested in trying out Zope Edit but I have run into some problems. Here's my config: wxPython 2.1 Python 1.5.2 Win2K Connecting to a Zope server running in Linux. It seems to "hang" on connection and I have to kill the process. I have ZopeEdit set up to use Notepad as a test as defined in the ZopeEdit comments. Any ideas? Mike
