I take that last bit back: when I first (re)start it, Zope uses about 32MB, both size and resident set. So where is the extra 60MB (actually 140MB) coming from if it isn't from the cached objects? manage_debug reported 200 some odd ExtensionClass objects as the top refcount shortly after the cache was cleared. --RDM
