Urm? standard_error_message doesn't cut it for you?!

when i try to change the standard_error_message (v2.4.3) nothing happens!... ? i read a lot of docs and there was written that i just have to change this document for my individual error msg... but that doesnt work. i can clear the whole document, but i see always the same standard message. what can i do? thx alot greetings seshi
