New to Zope and a dumb question
I searched the archives, but must not have used the correct search terms because I didn't find the answer :( Can Zope be run on a web-site provided by an ISP like Earthlink or MSN? If so, could someone point me to the "how-to"? TIA John _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

Generally speaking: No. There are web hosting providers that offer Zope _instead of_ regular Apache or IIS, though. Search for them on Google with "Zope Webhosting". I found one a few months ago for about $20/month, but I don't remember the name. --Derek

No, unfortunately. You need to be able to run a server process; most web hosting providers do not let you run your own server software. One place that does already run Zope is iMeme -- you can find out about them at www.imeme.net. They're specifically a hosting provider though, not an ISP. -- Matt Kromer Zope Corporation http://www.zope.com/
