Hello everyone! I'm attempting to get Sawmill (www.sawmill.net) working with Zope log files. First, Is anyone using Sawmill with Zope? If you are would you care to share your log definition file with me :o) Second, what module is responsible for writing the Z2.log file? Is this part of Medusa, ZServer, or Zope? Third, does anyone know where I can get the field definitions for the Z2.log file. I can't seem to find any docs on it. Almost finally, what other log file analysis tools are people using with Zope? Would you care to share your opinions? Finally, If I'm being blatantly stupid here, please forgive me I'm still a newbie :o) Thanks in advance for any advice or encouragement you have to offer. -james
This is an FAQ. You can you tools like Analog or Webalizer for analyzing the Z2.log since the Z2.log is compliant with most analyzer tools. -aj ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Bragg" <james@skunkfarm.com> To: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Friday, August 02, 2002 5:52 Subject: [Zope] Log File Analysis Software

As near as I can figure it, the Z2.log file is a standard http log file in the sense that it's figured out by log analysis programs. I use NetTracker to process it (but the site isn't live yet - we'll see what happens in a week or so), and it seems to figure it just fine. (NetTracker is set to autodetect the log file format) -jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Bragg" <james@skunkfarm.com> To: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Thursday, August 01, 2002 11:52 PM Subject: [Zope] Log File Analysis Software
