I've actually written one using ZClasses (see it at http://www.byproducts.com). It was not very difficult, but it is quite integrated with the rest of the site and therefore not in a good state to be released. (It also requires cookies, which is not ideal, IMHO). I'm hoping that interest in the ZCommerce project will pick up. The idea behind ZCommerce is to make an easily extensible, open source framework for commerce apps.
