Zope3 release date
Hi folks, when looking at the Road map at dev.zope.org the release date for ZopeX3 is terminated on the 1st of September. If I look in the download area, there is still the milestone 3 available for download, but no final release of ZopeX3. As I'm eagerly watching the cvs changelog, I'm nervously waiting for ZopeX3, because of its charm in programming products. Does anybody know something about the real release date or about the things that have to be done first? I'm sorry that I can't help programming the new Zope, but I'm still not good enough at programming. For that I want to try to program some products for the new Zope and get into business with it. Regards Florian Reiser

The road map should be updated and it is my fault that this has not happened yet. We are moving the release scheduling over to www.zope3.org. The bug tracker that is located there has a dependency tree including all the releases. I do not think that we will have MS4 before mid-November and the first beta release before Christmas, which puts the X3 release into the Spring. Note that I am not committing purposefully on any dates, since the releases depend strongly on the community involvement.

The bug tracker on zope3.org contains the dependencies about the outstanding tasks.

We need a lot of help besides coding!

Hi Stephan, thanks for your fast answer. Does ZopeX3 use python2.3 or do I have to program with the "old" python2.2? May I discuss with you some starting issues for my product ( a pivot table like m$ excel has)?
