ZPT and DTML -- the saga continues
If all the excitement around ZPT was channeled into creating decent documentation instead of bashing DTML in this group, that might win more converts. Just to clear up one argument regarding DTML and ZPT. It has been said that you need to learn both. Not true. I developed several applications in DTML exclusively without ever needing to look at ZPT. If this community really wants to get people to use ZPT, efforts to properly document the language by those who are most familiar with it would be the most effective. :-) Kevin

The Zopebook has 2 ZPT chapter and a dedicated reference. What else do you need? If there are some points left out, feel free to contribute to improve the existing documentation. -aj
Merely making a point as I don't use ZPT. I did, however, help improve the dtml documentation. I still say keep both and let the developer decide. In posting this, I apparently am only contributing to prolonging the banter. ;-) I'll check out of this discussion for now... Andreas Jung wrote:

There is really no need for further discussions since these issues have been discussed multiple times during the last two month or so. So stop start this discussion again. Instead check the archive for the recent discussion. -aj

And if you already know DTML... A lot of people have found http://www.zope.org/Members/peterbe/DTML2ZPT to be helpful. Peter
