Hi List, Am using External Editor - but with "Homesite+.exe" (as bundled with DW MX). The editor works fine, but will not edit two files at once - on reading the docs, this may be because the name of the executable has changed from "homesite.exe" or "homesite5.exe" to "homesite+.exe", while the Homesite plugin for EE is looking for the old filenames. Is anyone aware of a workaround for this? Or am I drawing the wrong conclusion as to the source of my problem? -- Regards, PhilK Email: phil@xfr.co.uk / Voicemail & Facsimile: 07092 070518 "the symbols of the divine show up in our world initially at the trash stratum." We use FTP to connect "Homesite" to Zope. I think, it is better than via External Editor. -- Dieter

Unfortunately, I'm having a /different/ set of problems with FTP: - - With most clients, including Homesite, I get "530 Unauthorised" - Clients that get as far as a directory listing, the "ftp root" seems to be the default Plone site within our Zope installation. At least I have the luxury of a choice of problems to solve! ;-) -- Regards, PhilK Email: phil@xfr.co.uk / Voicemail & Facsimile: 07092 070518 "the symbols of the divine show up in our world initially at the trash stratum." Hi List, Answering my own question for the archives... Philip Kilner wrote:

The answer seems to be: - - Use the source version of EE - In the "plugins" directory, review "homesite.py" and "homesite5.py". - You will see that "homesite.py" is an alias which points to "homesite.5.py" such that it will handle "homesite.exe". - Save "homesite.py" as "homesite+.py" to create a similar alias for "homesite+.exe". Seems to work for me, so far - any comments are welcome. -- Regards, PhilK Email: phil@xfr.co.uk / Voicemail & Facsimile: 07092 070518 "the symbols of the divine show up in our world initially at the trash stratum."
