SiteAccess officially breaks Zope 2.1.5, new version soon
For those of you out there who use SiteAccess (or are considering using it) be aware that it dynamically patches ZPublisher to add a hook to the traversal process. This is a 'gorilla patch' which simply replaces a very large method, and is subject to breakage in the rare case where a new Zope release (such as 2.1.5) includes a change to this method. Zope 2.1.5 *will not work* with SiteAccess 1.0.0 or earlier. I expect to release version 1.0.1 this evening, which will be compatible with all 2.x versions of Zope, as well as fixing FTP access and providing a new feature to deal with SSL access. Hi, I am looking for a translation engine (similar to Babelfish) that can be fully integrated with Zope. The only option I found so far is GPLTrans, which is based on PHP. Before I start porting it to Zope: is there anyone else out there already working on a similar project? Anyone interested in helping out with such a project? Have a look at http://babelfish.altavista.com/ http://gpltrans.sourceforge.net/ to see what I am talking about. Results to be released under the GPL. Take a look at a How-To I wrote on how to embed PHP/Perl within Zope if you want instant gratification with GPLtrans: http://www.zope.org/Members/Mamey/PHP Andres Corrada
Hi Jonathan, You might want to check with the ZIP - Zope Internationalisation Project. There was some talk about a word by word translation service lately. You might find interested partners there! You can find the ZIP-Maillist home at <http://www.eevolute.com/mailman/listinfo/zip> Regards Jochen

This sounds interesting, though I am not sure I can be of any help...
