Reporting a bug in the Solid DA
I'd like to report a bug in the Solid DA, but there's no subcategory in the Collector for it, as there are for the Oracle and ODBC DAs. Is the Solid DA still being supported? (If not, that should be indicated on http://www.zope.org/Download/Adapters .) (Perhaps the Solid DA should be deprecated in favor of a DA that sits on top of mxODBC, or the existing ODBC DA could be ported to Unix.) The bug, BTW, is that when Solid automatically closes a database connection after 30 minutes of inactivity, the Solid DA doesn't realize this and reports connection errors; you need to open and close the connection to make queries work again. Anyone got a workaround for this? -- A.M. Kuchling http://starship.python.net/crew/amk/ What sane person could live in this world and not be crazy? -- Ursula K. Leguin

The PostgreSQL DA does the same thing, BTW. I know its 'contrib', so not supported by DC, but if someone gives me 1/2 a clue, I'd dig in and fix it. Ross -- Ross J.
