Piece of s*** KeyError right? Seriously though it means the database has a dangling reference from an object to another object that no longer exists for some reason. POS stands for Persistent Object System (aka BoboPOS where Bobo means idiot in Jim-speak) They are not usually the cause of very much laughter. -Casey On Tuesday 05 November 2002 01:34 pm, Paul Winkler wrote:

I was getting a bunch of these lately due to broken objects and, I suspect, some open Versions that were pointing to deleted objects. I got rid of the broken objects and the versions and they have gone away. Right now we know of several circumstances which could cause this error, but no way to explain how frequently they appear to be reported. I would be pleased to debug this If you can produce a small test case that repeatably causes a POSKeyError. (If you are feeling nervous about POSKeyErrors then you might want to look at DirectoryStorage, http://dirstorage.sourceforge.net. It is designed to be more defensive against these known causes. However you may also feel nervous about using alpha-release storages......)
