Read the list archvies w.r.t. solaris problems.
See <http://www.zope.org/Members/glpb/solaris/report_ps> for a distillation. I'm assuming that the story for Intel Solaris is the same as for Sparc Solaris. Please someone correct me if this is wrong .... Paul -- The Library, Tyndall Avenue, Univ. of Bristol, Bristol, BS8 1TJ, UK E-mail: paul.browning@bristol.ac.uk URL: http://www.bris.ac.uk/
So other than having to compile everything from source on Solaris, I havent really found any problems (barring using OracleDA, but since I use MySQL ....). All I found are certain advantages relating to CPU affinity, and some threading issues which seem to work-around-able. Is that all there is to it?? TIA AM Paul Browning wrote:

Yup - but it helps knowing this ..... a number of us have been groping around in the dark for a year or so. Paul -- The Library, Tyndall Avenue, Univ. of Bristol, Bristol, BS8 1TJ, UK E-mail: paul.browning@bristol.ac.uk URL: http://www.bris.ac.uk/
