I'm keen to modify the authentication source I'm using to do PAM-based auth, which is reasonably trivial. However, I want to know whether I should be using LoginManager or exUserFolder or some other product. LoginManager which seems to have not been maintained in quite a while, and requires the awkward ZPatterns+DynPersist C module combination plus a patch to work on Zope2.4.1. exUserFolder seems simpler than LoginManger and runs on 2.4.1 unmodified, but isn't layed out quite as I would hope. Is there going to be a pluggable/modifiable authentication source built into Zope any time soon, and if so which one? I'll go with that one for future proofing. Nope. Well, at least not in the foreseeable future (see the 2.5 roadmap at http://dev.zope.org/Resources/zope_250_plan.html). It appears to be a wildcard at this time. -- Chris McDonough Zope Corporation http://www.zope.org http://www.zope.com "Killing hundreds of birds with thousands of stones"

Membership Features are coming for exUserFolder this weekend too d8) You'd have to hold your breath a little using them though. -- Totally Holistic Enterprises Internet| | Andrew Milton The Internet (Aust) Pty Ltd | | ACN: 082 081 472 ABN: 83 082 081 472 | M:+61 416 022 411 | Carpe Daemon PO Box 837 Indooroopilly QLD 4068 |akm@theinternet.com.au|
