RE: [Zope] ZClasses and default documents, and COM objects.
On the subject of COM, I'm in the final stages of creating a product
to
convert Word Documents to HTML on the fly, taking the style sheet built into the document and creating an HTML4/CSS rendition of it.
I know that there are Word->HTML converters around, but we have an awful lot of documents that need doing, and don't really want to convert them if no-ones going to look at them, this way since they get converted on the fly (and then cached and only reconverted if the original changes), only the documents that need converting get done.
If anyone else has an interest in this then let me know.
I am -- I think this would be TOTALLY awesome! So, when can we see it! :^) -Rob
Hi Rob, Well as I said, I'm in the final stages (at least of the Word stuff). I'd expect a full release in about 2 weeks, (I need to make sure it works because I need it soon for a project I'm involved in), so bear with me and you'll be one of the first to see it. On a similar note, I'm also working on a Word->PDF converter on a similar vein, and also PowerPoint->PDF. What with the stuff Anthony is looking at we could have some sort of 'killer app' here, 8^). Anyway, until the release, patience is a virtue you now ;).
