That shouldn't matter... I run an installation of Zope from a secondary drive in Win2K. I would make double-sure that you've uninstalled all previous installations, restarted, and confirmed that there are no zope instances showing up in your Services list. I got lost in the sauce on this one thread, but to add my 2c... if you say "zope won't start" are you running it from a service of from a batch file?
