change of question, whats a good python book. the oreilly books are decent (learning python, programming python) flipping through it in a bookstore i was surprisingly impressed by the python2.1 bible. the documentation on python.org (esp. the tutorial) is a must. cheers kapil

i printed the pdf version of the library reference available on www.python.org a selled/printed version of this exists by new riders (Python, essential reference) but my copy only covers python 1.5 a new release of the python book by o'reilly is available, and a nice get-into-the-stuff book 'introduction to python' also by o'reilly is a soft bed-reading-for-insomniacs --- I'm killing time while I wait for life to shower me with meaning and happiness. -- Calvin --- Oliver Pabst .-------------------------. mailto:olpa@sybcom.de : : phone :+49 681 56600600 : project department : SYBCOM GmbH fax :+49 681 56600660 : : http://www.sybcom.de

I've got 5 books about python plus a useless pocket reference. Compare to "The Quick Python Book", "Learning Python" is dull and badly written. That reference is definitly one to buy as well! --- Andy McKay <andym@ActiveState.com> wrote:
