Re: [Zope] Are Versions Reliable?

What has been your experience with Versions? I like versions and use them regularly. I did not yet have serious problems (they are not fine grained enough to really support parallel development, but that is another issue).
Is this a reliable feature of Zope? Have you ever been unable to roll back changes made in a Version or been unable to commit a Version's changes? It never happened to me. But a colleague reportet recently that he had commited a version but still could not access the modified objects. I commited again, and see the problem went away. I did not believe my colleague....

I agree, the only problems I have either had with versions come from the users and their understanding. Its a great idea, but people can get very confused and I think the way they are implemented could definitely be improved. -- Andy McKay ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dieter Maurer" <dieter@handshake.de> To: "Edmund Goppelt" <goppelt@goppelt.net> Cc: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2001 12:54 PM Subject: Re: [Zope] Are Versions Reliable?
