IMPORTANT! This message has been blind-carbon-copied to you. Do not reply-to-all or forward it without the author's permission. Hi Mohammad, counters are discussed controversely. Most of the time they bother the users and even more its boring to look at. I think you relly want to know how many users visit your site, thats fine but you simply cant know it. You dont know if someone sees the site off a proxy or does not load images or whatever. The HTTP protocol was never designed for statistical purposes! You can get fine statistics showing your server load and may be the most used pages thru a log file analyzer. (webalizer, analog etc.) Last not least there are some web-page-counter-hunter out there ;) They call your counter as often as it can, so you have obviously useless hits. So anybody visiting your site would lough. Regards Tino --On Mittwoch, 11. Juli 2001 15:13 +0500 Mohammad Ali Agheli <maagheli@vasel.com> wrote:

Quoting Tino Wildenhain <tino@wildenhain.de>:
Hi Mohammad,
you really dont want one. Better use an analysis tool for the logfile (var/Z2.log).
