Zope 2.7.2 Service support under WinNT 4.0
Hi All, Am having trouble getting service support under Windows NT 4.0. I've asked about this before, and have had no real response (others have evidently had issues, but not the /same/ issue). The error I am getting is: - "The procedure entry point RegisterServiceCtrlHandlerExW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll" Can anyone get me started on fixing this? Failing that, I'd be interested to know if anyone /is/ successfully using this combination of Zope and Windows versions? -- Regards, PhilK Email: phil@xfr.co.uk / Voicemail & Facsimile: 07092 070518 "Work as if you lived in the early days of a better nation." - Alasdair Gray

Forgot the 3rd question - is Windows NT 4.0 sp6a still an /officially/ supported platform? -- Regards, PhilK Email: phil@xfr.co.uk / Voicemail & Facsimile: 07092 070518 "Work as if you lived in the early days of a better nation." - Alasdair Gray

Zope 2.7.2 + Python 2.3.4 is running fine in: - Win XP SP1 - Win 2K SP4 I stumbled into 2 minor drawbacks (compared to running it on Linux): - The absence of 'zopectl debug' due to the use of UNIX_DOMAIN sockets - The absence of a zeo server windows service. I've created a runzeo.bat, but it is a temporary workaround. Sorry, but I have no experience with Zope + Win NT 4. regards, Senra -- Rodrigo Senra MSc Computer Engineer rodsenra@gpr.com.br GPr Sistemas Ltda http://www.gpr.com.br
