Why not? Is dired supposed to work with Zope's FTP? I tried a C-x d /superuser@zopehost.domain#8021: and got a "LIST: access denied" type of message. I'm using Doug efs-make-backup-files tip and can edit DTML methods without turning them to DTML documents. It's great! I vote for Doug to receive this week Zope Honor Medal:-) Another efs question: I use UserDB as the top and only authentication folder. All my users login ids are email addresses, so they don't have to remember more stuff.
