I recently installed zope, and I am successfully using it to serve some access controlled content, using a simple acl_users folder. This does everything I want, except that I cannot find out how to offer my users the ability to change their passwords on the site. Is this not supported? Should I be working with a product that already has the feature of dealing with acl's? thanks, tibbetts ___________________________________________________________________ //^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^\\ // Richard S. Hi. Perhaps you should take a peek at GenericUserFolder. Although I am not very experienced with it, I think it serves your whishes. Am 11-Feb-00 schrieb Richard Tibbetts:

I remeber having seen a topic about this withing the How-To Section of www.zope.org. Maybe it is still there. Regards, Ingo. ------------------------------------------
I too have been looking into this question. I have read and looked for every "How-To" that I could find. There is one with using SQL and GUF but nothing on actually just setting up GUF to allow for users to register, change passwords, etc. If someone could point this list towards that "How-To" or point me to the basics of user registration I would be more than happy to write an How-To and post it. Isn't self registration part of the forthcoming PTK? http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-ptk ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jatwood@bwanazulia.com> To: <ingo.assenmacher@post.rwth-aachen.de>; Richard Tibbetts <tibbetts@mit.edu> Cc: <zope@zope.org> Sent: February 13, 2000 08:08 AM Subject: RE: [Zope] Newbie question
