But it could be possible another way: imagine URI as that www.domain.com/mod_speling?url=folder1/folder2/document instead of www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/document The DTML method mod_speling will track your "url" option. 2/ I have no squid before, but it is possible to use. Something like this was discussed months ago. You might want to search the archives. I recall one elegant solution was to customize the 404 response to handle it but I don't remember the details.
