Depending what OS you mean, that would be overkill ( user/group permissions, suid bit, symlinks, journaling, etc. ) :-)
Zope has user/group permissions, suid bit. People have experimented with symlinks and I for one would like to see them there as well. Not sure what journaling is. You also miss locking and ownership which I believe is in Zope 2.0.
Maybe a filesystem isn't the right metaphor? I agree that having a creation time stamp would be nice in some cases.

Zope never ceases to amaze me. :-) By journaling I meant like the NetApp or XFS filesystem does, keeping a log of transactions to be able to roll back to a consistent state. Hey, Zope has that too!
